Join Be Social Change on Thursday, November 21st for our Makers Institute class on The Mindful Entrepreneur: A Guide to Focus, Resilience & Growth, with instructor Akshay Kapur, to learn how to be more mindful and effective when starting and growing your company.
“You can’t solve problems with the same consciousness that created them.”
- Albert Einstein.
Entrepreneurs inherently bring a new consciousness to existing global problems. Staying in tune with that mental acuity can become difficult as the stresses of running a business take over. Inevitably, daily problems overtake universal concerns. Tapping into 5 years of personal experience practicing mindfulness while running a business, Akshay will guide you in developing greater focus, resilience and growth.
What if you could be more fresh and productive throughout the day? Maintain a clear focus when faced with tough problems? Become a more effective decision maker? React to unexpected changes with a calm mind? Trust in your intuition when self-doubt threatens it?
Training your mind to be more capable and ready in every moment will help you understand how to realize all of these benefits.
Doors open at 6:45 and class starts at 7:00.

Akshay Kapur is a healthcare entrepreneur, strategy consultant, and business advisor. He has helped entrepreneurs and executives consciously grow their businesses in line with their core values. He began meditating in 2008 after he discovered he had high blood pressure. A change in diet and exercising made little difference and he realized stress was the biggest culprit. He took a trip to India to learn yoga and meditation and since then has maintained a regular morning practice of mindfulness meditation, which helped his blood pressure to go back to normal. Akshay’s mission is to help busy people better manage their work and life through mindfulness.
